Hooking on the New Frame

The last couple days I've been test driving my new Acadian Frame.  It is beautifully made with a nice patina (mine is Cherry wood), swivels 180* and tilts forward and backward.  The frame measures 15" x 21" and really like the longer length as it requires less movement of the design.  The grippers really grip and so far haven't missed using the Snapdragon.
I've been hoping to get this rug finished so that I can move onto the UFO sheep which was started just before Cape May rug camp this past September.  Since both of these were started in 2015 really really wanted them finished in the same year.  A Day in the Country might be finished in 2015 but guess the sheep will have a date of 2016 on it.

Since this rug won't be finished by tomorrow to show more progress, will post some pictures of antique rugs recently found on the internet.

Seems that with my lack of posting daily I've lost a couple followers....sad.  Unfortunately I take it to heart and wonder what I may have said (or didn't) to make someone 'UN-friend' me.

It takes some effort to go remove your name from someone's blog.  I follow so many folks that I wouldn't know where to go to remove my name if I wanted to (which I don't).  Yeah, I do wish some of my favorite blogs would post more often but realize life gets in the way, particularly this time of the year ~ but no reason for me to remove my name as a follower.

Enjoy your weekend baking, cooking, wrapping gifts or whatever it is you're busy doing to prepare for Christmas.

  2. Hi Saundra... love your blog for the lovely antique rug eye candy you post and also I find so many useful and helpful suggestions about wool, patterns, frames, binding, etc... I could go on but most of all you present topics like you are a good friend stopping by to chat and I like that bunches. Happy holidays to you and pats and tummy rubs to Ben.

  6. Maybe the follower(s) is (are) stressed out dealing with Window 10 and are freaking out. Last week I gain one and lost one. Followers who don't leave comments, I wouldn't remember but I would remember my regular followers.

I'm still following and I'm glad your Acadian frame is making friend with you.

My company has arrived safely and are settling in. I might not have as much time on the computer. Got another calf this morning. I'm being run off my feet.

Enjoy hooking on your new frame. Hugs,
    JB

  8. I love the frame, and am glad you are enjoying it.

I know there are times I have to unsubscribe from blogs because I start getting dirty spam, in my reading list.and I have found that to get rid of it, I have to start at the top of my blog list and then go down it unsubscribing one at a time. Somehow it will fall out of my reading list. Then I go back and resubscribe a little at a time over several months. I still read the blogs I love but I don't always subscribe to every one, again because the spammy stuff returns. What I think causes it are the followers tied to the blogs, not necessarily the blogs themselves. I know the ones that used to have the blog "rings" were worse for me, and I try to avoid those because the spam can run through an entire ring from the followers attached to only one.
