CHICKEN PAIR HOOKED

The last loop was pulled on the chicken pair antique adaptation last night.  It has been steam pressed and awaiting binding which will probably occur during The Five beginning next week.  Could take a couple weeks for me to complete the arduous task but that's okay.  Little by little it will get done.
Frankly I'm not so pleased with that 'spout' looking thing above the bowl of food.  I tried replicating the antique but obviously didn't succeed.  Below is a view of the antique plus a treat for cat lovers.
Meanwhile I'll keep myself occupied with the scrappy Shaker horse until something new and shiny piques my interest.

Happy Hooking and hope everyone had an uneventful Friday the 13th.

  1. I did not even realize it was Friday the 13th. Oh well. Chicken rug looks good, spout and all. Janice

  2. Very handsome looking birds! Your grain spout, keeping the feed bowl full, looks better to me than the original. (no offense to the original hooker)

  8. Love your chicken! You always choose such great colors. I'd love to see some of your rugs up close and in person. Bet they are perfection. I didn't even really notice the spout thingy until you called attention to it...but now that you have, ummmm, should I tell you or no?

  9. Oh that Robin! She must have loved anatomy and all that stuff...lol! Another thing I won't be able to unsee...sigh.
Rug came out great. I'm sure it won't take you a couple weeks to bind.
So what's after the horse? I'm sure it won't be Ezra for more than a few loops!
