MY SCRAPPY HORSE

Lauren and Sue started their two-day class with Jenny Smallridge in her "scrappy" class yesterday.  Everything I see from Jenny's and Jo's classes are phenomenal and wish she taught a class closer as I'm not about to drive to Ohio.  Check out Jenny's web site at Wooly Horse.  And drop by to see what Sue and Lauren accomplished on their wonderful pieces.  Lauren will eventually post her photo I'm sure.

As I love horses, that was my project and this is all that was accomplished since I didn't pull a loop until 3 p.m. yesterday.  No, I wasn't in a 'virtual class'.  My participation was in spirit with Lauren and Sue since I would have loved to be there in person.
Below is the 1884 Shaker rug I'm adapting for my pattern.
This evening I'll pull a few more loops on the horse and tomorrow I'll finish the background on the chicken rug.  Well, that is after laundry is done.

Happy hooking.

  2. Class was a blast, I cannot say enough nice things about Jenny. Your horse looks great. I'm a scrappy quilter, all of this was quite new to me, but lots of fun. I hope you're having fun with hooking yours.

  3. You are doing great for not doing it all day like Lauren and Sue. I love the border on this one too. Will you be adding in those half pennies? Janice

  7. You have motivated me to start this horse rug. I’ve wanted to do this horse ever since I saw the rug in person at Shaker village. I’m anxious to try these technique. I cannot wait to see your progress.

    1. Wish I had your email address so I could write you in person because I don't think anyone doubles back to see if they received a reply to their post. Anyway, happy hooking.
