Don't need that. Got my new hostas out, my new geraniums and some new fragrant Oriental lilies. Have plenty of other lilies but can't put them in the back yard as they are poisonous to dogs.Miccosukeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10222273370558706333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480427156320353979.post-74650613034658858842015-05-01T10:55:51.384-04:002015-05-01T10:55:51.384-04:00We should be having warmer weather starting tomorr...We should be having warmer weather starting tomorrow. You will then be blessed with blooms next year. But if you wait to long after they finish blooming - you will cut away next years blooms.
RoseThree Sheep Studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16206854154222498852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480427156320353979.post-83176554778640850982015-04-30T20:54:45.996-04:002015-04-30T20:54:45.996-04:00Spring is much further ahead in your little corner...Spring is much further ahead in your little corner of the world. Oh, how I love lilac. Last year I had no flowers because the bush was so out of control and even though I knew I wouldn't have flowers the following year, I pruned the heck out of it way too late. I'm hoping this year will be spectacular.
It was very un-spinglike here in Ohio today. Cold, damp and dreary. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better.
Hugs :)
LaurenRugs and Pugshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17084387971128823025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480427156320353979.post-52137034392103436682015-04-30T20:35:01.956-04:002015-04-30T20:35:01.956-04:00Hi Saundra. I love the shape of the bloom.

Lilacs are supposed to be prunes right after blooming so they will have time to grow buds for the next year. Don't ask me about the right way to prune though.

I have some ground phlox that looks similar to your last picture. They had quite a beating this winter but I still hope they will bloom.

Hugs,
JBJuliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03423754263165266554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480427156320353979.post-46862725219315151952015-04-30T20:20:05.745-04:002015-04-30T20:20:05.745-04:00Doesn't it feel great to look outside and see ...Doesn't it feel great to look outside and see the sights of Spring.
