Felt so nice to switch projects for a brief time and finish hooking Glazer Antique Hearts. And it will be equally as enjoyable to return hooking Oh Glorious Day this evening.
The rug has been steamed but still needs binding. I drew mine out measuring 18 x 32 1/2. Not exactly like the original but used what I had to try and pull off the similarities.
The original is below and measured 32 x 52. The auction house said it was hooked between 1880 and 1910.

ReplyDeleteThat turned out great. Funny seeing it finished, it could be very modern in style or prim. The milder red and the sharper brown lend something to the design. Beautiful!
