That predicted white stuff is here. At 10:30 this morning the local news said Seaford had 5" accumulation. It is still snowing and said to not stop until after midnight tonight.
There has been another weather update with increased snow levels expected. Notice I am now in the 7-14" area and already the local radio station says Seaford already has 5". That from the state highway spokesperson. Wouldn't be surprised at all if there is another update later today.
Here are a few snapshots I took this morning around 8 a.m. You can see the collection of snow on top of my birdbath on the left side. Saturday I went out to place my orange yard markers along the driveway and along the road out front. Tomorrow I'm supposed to get a delivery of propane and will assist the driver to see where my driveway is. And, for those who may be kind enough to clear my driveway will be a guide for them.
Should have thought ahead and put out all my bird feeders as I'll probably have to trek thru the snow to put up more food for my feathered friends.
During freezing rain or snowfall, I place a stick along one corner of my recycle and trash containers so they won't freeze shut.
I did venture out to put up an additional birdfeeder and refill one already there. The snow I walked thru was up to mid-calf and still snowing. When I returned inside noticed a very kind neighbor was snow blowing my driveway.
Am planning to hunker down and pull some loops on my next wonderful primitive project. Nothing to show here now but will in a day or two. Stay home, stay warm and cuddle up to enjoy whatever craft or book you enjoy.Saundra
Stay careful and safe when you do venture out please! Hunkering down sounds like a good plan. Here in our corner of Ohio we got about 5” maybe. It’s fairly light and dry so we were able to shovel it. Where are all the cash starved pre teens when you need them ?! That cardinal on the sled piece is very sweet! Your design? Would make a cute xstitch pattern as well.Enjoy the show your happy birds will bring you at your feeders and hooray for thoughtful neighbors
ReplyDeletestay safe, so nice of your neighbor. Our very cold air is pushing all that south of us to your area. But they are saying snow for Sat. for us.

Stay warm & cozy inside and enjoy hooking !!!
ReplyDeleteYikes on the snow. We are only getting 4 inches overnight. It already started. Hopefully you will not lose power. A nice neighbor for sure snowblowing you out. Janice
ReplyDeleteStay cozy and hook on ;-) Looking forward to you sharing your start!
ReplyDeleteWe were not supposed to get any snow but ended up with about 4". DSO's snowblower still not working so I shoveled the drive. Thankfully I have a small drive and the snow was light and fluffy.
You have the BEST neighbors!
Wow, you got a lot more snow than we did here in North Central Ohio. Luckily my six year old grandson with help of the neighbor boy cleared the drive. I always look forward to what you'll be hooking next. Stay warm, stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow for your area! You are so lucky to have such kind and considerate neighbors. Seriously. I am holding my breath on the snow here. We haven't had a major storm yet this winter...I think the one time we got 5" but that was it (and they don't even bother canceling school for that amount here in Nod). I know it will come...Feb/March/April tend to bring the heaviest snows here. Looking forward to seeing what's on your frame. I'm committed to going to the hook-in at the hooker down the road the end of next week and have no clue what I will bring to hook. EEK. Then again, it may get canceled if it decides to snow....that happened the year before last (?) as people were driving from several different states away. ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteWow,,,great snow,,, 🌨️🌨️ glad we can share,,,,,
ReplyDeleteSeems to be all over,,,
We got another 5 inches ,,,last night,,,
Elaine
Whoa...hope your driveway stays clear for the delivery. What a nice neighbor. I love that. Makes me cold looking at your pictures. Hunkering down sounds like a good plan.
