ALL HOOKED

At least the hooking is completed but still needs binding.  I'm referring to Magdalena's Double Horses.  The colors are showing up lighter than they are in person.  Seems to be a mutual complaint of me and Lauren on photos of rugs.  But at least hooking is completed and am hopeful it will be bound before the end of the year.

Binding usually occurs during the one hour of The Five and requires several shows before binding is completed.  But that's okay since the binding process is less painful for me to swallow done in segments of time.
Believe it or not, I have my next project planned.  BUT...even after pulling wool for it decided to hook something for my son as one of his Christmas gifts.  The pattern is drawn but am stumped on the color planning.  So guess I'll have to work on the first idea until color planning can be decided for my son's rug.

Thank goodness today is election day and won't have to watch or listen to those annoying political ads.  I voted early to avoid long lines and in case weather wasn't so great on regular voting day.  I won't stay up to watch the count but will pray our beautiful America won't be on its way to become a socialist run country by morning.  Please GOD, Bless America.

  2. Bound before the end of the year? I would bet money it will be done long before Thanksgiving.
I, too, am praying for a positive outcome. Socialism never works and this time would be no different. You can vote socialism in but you can’t vote it out 😒. Hoping God is smiling down on the wonderful land.

  3. That rug is stunningly beautiful Saundra! I should pull out my stag rug and work on binding that one of these days. I, too, am so relieved the relentless ads and spam calls are done and over with. If the money spent on that went to reducing our deficit, it would go down pretty quick I would think. Scary times ahead methinks…Socialism is all nice and rosy until other people’s money runs out…and it always does. Only a fool would work to enrich themselves if it is taken and given to those who choose to live off handouts.

  5. What a lovely pattern! I always love seeing the beautiful rugs you make. I alas am reading your post a couple days after than blood bath of an election. I can't believe California. The worst ever was elected here. Even worse that who that creature is that has been in office destroying my beautiful state. Oh well, but I decided no news until I get my November turkeys finished. I want to get one steamed today and start on another one. Last years projects I never got to.
I hope you have a lovely day,
    Kim

  6. Your Magdalena horses rug is beautiful. Job well done as usual.

We have been bombarded every day with political stuff no matter which station we turned to. The whole world has been shaken and threats come from every directions.
Evil is spreading and only God can fix things now. Wars and rumours of war and all this his AI thing and Data Centres are scary, not a good thing, I think.
The price of food, gas and electricity keeps going up. I would. not want to bring young children in such a scary world.
    Take care, hugs.
