Cape May Rug Show Continued

This is the second posting of the Cape May rug show but have much more to share as the days go on.  Below is Birds and Pomegranates, a design by Edyth O'Neill and hooked by Carol McKey.
This beautiful antique adaptation below was hooked by Sharon Field.
Oh my, you should have seen this Acorn Harvest in person as the photo does not do it justice.  It was designed and hooked by Karen Buchheit.  The background was hooked from the back which made the front appear as if it were woven.  The acorns and bird were hooked Waldoboro style and was an awesome and humbling hooked piece.
This huge landscape below was designed and hooked by Diane Lenters.
Janet Reid designed and hooked this fall rug shown below.
Herbs, a Marion Hamm design, was hooked by Pat McDonnell.
Cindy Harpring hooked this Chicken design.  I hooked this one as well and purchased the design (Hannah's Hen) from Woolley Fox, not Julie Marie Smith as the card says.
Lucille Festa hooked the rug below, named 1898.
Pumpkin Patch was hooked by Bob Strunk.
Star and Fans is a Sally Kallin design hooked by Karen Buchheit.
Stars and Diamonds probably looks familiar to you as that is an antique adaptation I hooked.
Betsy Warner hooked Vermont, a Karen Kahle design.
And finally, Wool Sampler, designed and hooked by Rebecca Erb.
There are more finished rug photos to share in another post but would like to save some for tomorrow.

  2. So much eye candy. It's fun to see rugs hooked by people I know. I've met Carol and Karen many times and I met Weslee at a hook in this spring.
Cape May is definitely on my hooking bucket list!
