Finally Bound and Labels

Finally bound the last two rugs....Posies and Stars plus Lancaster Barnyard.  The stems of the posies are really a light mint green and the left star is a light blue so not as washed out as the photo indicates .  This rug has a wool whipped edge.

Lancaster Barnyard was bound using the traditional cotton binding tape.

Since I don't make my labels until there is a full sheet of 6 labels here are the labels recently made out of fabric print sheets.  

OOPS.... as I'm looking now notice my arrangement of description may be a little deceptive.  My apologies to Primitive Heartstrings as your name should have been first as the designer and mine second since I'm the one who hooked it and is located in Seaford, DE.

Second apology goes to Lori Brechlin as her name should appear before mine as the designer and me as the one who hooked the rug.  I'll have to be more diligent when typing up and printing labels in the future.

Two of the rugs were hooked in 2019 but at least now all finished rugs are labeled .

Even if I weren't self-distancing I wouldn't venture out of the house today as there are high winds of 60 mph, heavy rain, flooding, trees down across some roads with live wires down and potential for tornadoes in the afternoon.

Posies and Stars Plus Sprouts

Still working on the border but don't think the piece will be done before my new project arrives in the mail next week.  But will resist the temptation to put this aside and start the new one until his one is all hooked.

As mentioned previously, this is an antique adaptation which I drew myself.  Love having a border like this as it is great for using worms.

On the last post I spoke of sprouts and did put some on my salad ~ salad was even more delicious with the sprouts than without. I've more left and will put them on my salad tomorrow as well.

Some have inquired how to do the sprouts.  Here is a link to SPROUT 101 and VIDEO .  I didn't use a wide mouth jar which my hand would fit into and since I'm the only one enjoying the sprouts I used 2 teaspoons of sprouts instead of the 1 Tablespoon or whatever is suggested.  No sense in waste.

POSIES and STARS

Thought it time to show you progress on the antique adaptation which I have named "Posies and Stars".  The original antique was shown on a previous blog post.  I drew this to measure 211/2  x 21 1/2.  Would make a nice big pillow or nice small mat.  I'm going for the mat as I've plenty of hooked pillows in the living room.

Am really looking forward to hooking the border but won't start that until all the central portion is finished.  Want to be sure my hooking rhythm for both parts is consistent and not broken up into segments.
