Close But.......

Although the rug won't be completely hooked and ready for binding at Cape May, think I'll be close enough to take it to work on.  At first was afraid of having to take numerous colors of my woollie worms but I'm narrowing down the colors with each loop pulled.
For sure the corner swags cover a multitude of wool colors I'd have to take but soon those will be done.  And this might be a lofty thought, but perhaps the bottom left swag as well as the area above might be hooked by the time I get of the Cape May/Lewes Ferry headed toward Cape May.  That would only leave the very bottom part to work on Sunday night and Monday morning while waiting for my teacher Diane Stoffel.

Weather here was hot an humid today and my barometer (my osteo arthritic hands) are letting me know the weather is about to change again.  Thank God my strong hand isn't the one which is giving me fits (although my knuckles on that hand are arthritic also).  The pain is in the left lower thumb area which has a bone almost twice the size of normal because of the arthritis.

No, I don't take pain meds and have had some friends tell me that I deserve to be in pain for not medicating.  Instead I apply "Pharmacopoeia" Rosemary Shea cream to the area since Rosemary is supposed to be a healing agent for arthritis.  Well, maybe this is a little old since I've had it about 3 years and still have a little in the bottle.    I only think of using it when my hands hurt.  And have also used Biofreeze .

I'm a little closer to having all my chores done before leaving Sunday for Cape may but need to pick up my grandson Zach from school the  next three days.  Actually that will help me because he'll do homework while grandma does a few more chores around the house.

Have a great evening everyone.

You are getting so close!!! As always, I am curious as to the size. You may have said, but I have serious case of CRS!
I haven't picked up the hook in a week and it's on the "list", but if I don't get off this machine it will another hookless night.
    Hugs :)

  2. Oh, and it was a steamy one in Ohio, too. 95 and humid. I hope when the weather changes your hands will feel better :)

  3. Lots of progress. I used Biofreeze last night as my knees were really giving me a hard time. Some would say Im too young for arthritis but many years of sitting at work and a softball injury has definitely sped things along.
