Mother with Fishbowl was finished and final changes made August 2023. So why did it take me so long to put it on the wall? Maybe because I was unsure where to hang it, or emotionally I wasn't really sure all changes were done. Anyway, Mother is front and center in the living room where I can see her every day from my hooking spot. You can see the August 2023 post where I point out the last changes made HERE.
Arrangements had been made to have my roof replaced and first deposit made over a week ago. The contractor said depending on when he could get the dumpster delivered and equipment purchased he would start either today or tomorrow. No dumpster was delivered nor workers showed up today. So perhaps the noise of footsteps and nails will begin tomorrow.
Happy hooking.

That rug is so wonderful glad you got it up front and center.

Awww...I love that rug - and she looks perfect in her regal spot in your living room. I'm glad you finally got her on the wall - and how fitting that an angel flies above her. I wish you better luck with your contractors than I have had with mine. :-(
ReplyDeleteMom is in the perfect spot.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the roofing. I had mine done 7 (?) years ago and the garage roof has leaked since…but never did before. He has supposedly fixed it quite a few times and guess what? Still leaks 🤬. I guess I should be thankful it is the garage and not leaking in to the attic.

The tribute rug for your mom found its perfect spot. Good luck with your new roof. We had ours done about 5 years ago. Very costly then so can only imagine what you have to pay now. Owning your own home can be costly...I know. Janice
ReplyDeleteOoof - roofing! Expensive, noisy, necessary. 3 years ago we had ours redone, the crew was fast, not much mess, but they banged up some of the trim. In one spot DH had to replace a bit of soffit the following year as the damned house sparrows found a hole big enough they could get in and made a nest. I'm glad it was on the front of the garage where I could see them going in/out from my chair in the living room! Hope yours is done quickly and with few problems.
ReplyDeleteAfter following all your work, waffling, thinking, reworking, doubts, more thinking, more rework while hooking this...I'm glad to see it on the wall at last! Nice spot for it too.
Ohh that's nice! Frame with a view and the one above too. Neighbors roof started yesterday. We need it done along with sooo much else. Hop it goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so nice there on the wall. Is there any rain in the forecast? Its going to be nice when its all done. I went through pictures last week. I can see why it took you so long to put it on the wall. For me, it brought of memories. I get that. It looks lovely.
