1870 HORSE UPDATE

Loop by loop, little by little, the rug is getting completed.  Most definitely the tan on the side of the horse looks better (to me) than if I'd hooked it like the original making it larger and in salmon wool.
Soon I'll be needing another project so have started looking again at my saved photos, checking on-line auction houses and Pinterest for possibilities.  As of now there's another horse on my list.  It is an antique Bluenose design and here is a photo of one which sold only for $50 in 2023.  But, there's still time to find something other than a horse.  Time will tell just what my next project will be.
Don't forget to 'spring forward' tonight.  Here's me and Maxine on Sunday  morning. This one is for you Robin.
Happy hooking.

  3. Ha ha....love it MD...and that exact thought actually crossed my mind tonight after the past several days. I've had to set an alarm the past several days as well (and then laid awake hoping I would actually HEAR that alarm over the noise of the machines) that the lost hour will be a double whammy. I really love that Bluenose horse rug. Can't believe it sold for so little so recently. (And what...I disappear for less than a week and you speed hook through hooking your rug???)

  4. Speed hook for sure! It is wonderful. Can’t believe it is almost done. Good for you. I am just a slacker 😭
Love your meme! This morning the furkids slept until 7:20. Hopefully they will again tomorrow. Funny…when they decide it’s time to get up, they want up NOW! I am not used to jumping out of bed, throwing clothes on and being outside in just minutes! But they really are being good pups and for that I am thankful!

  6. Your rug looks good! I like it and the colors. I definitely lost one hour of sleep maybe even more. Can't seem to get going on the rug I started. Hook-in this next weekend so maybe that will kick my butt.

  7. Your 1870 horse is looking good. Some of the colors are the same as the Bluenose rug.

I'm not a fan of the time change in the spring as I'm not a morning person but I'm glad the daytime hours are finally getting longer. I'm looking forward to be able to walk around the yard without my rubber boots.
