Saturday Stuff

...and with only 3 days left to get Sears here to do repair on my NEW riding mower the 3 week growth of grass might be mowed on Tuesday. That is IF it isn't raining.

Speaking of rain, I've family in Texas who are now worried in their area they may be flooded out.  And would you believe that Ligonier, PA (where Barb Carroll lives) also experienced flooding.  Barb is on higher elevation so she is okay but folks on the other side are having to be evacuated by boat from the raising water.

So for the good news is another rug show.  This one below is written as a lion early 20th century.
This chicken rug below is to have been located on the eastern shore. Who knew there were antique rugs available for me to find.  Guess I don't get out enough.
The early abstract below is quite a nice piece and would love to chat with the person who hooked it.  Even tho rugs were hooked for a purpose of keeping the home warm and the floor covered, there were some artistic rug hookers making their statement back then.
Found this old dog rug also, here is the full view.

Here is a close up of the face.

Okay guys and gals, time for me to retire for the night and will try to find something to write about tomorrow.  If there is something any of you would like for me to address, please leave me a comment.

Have a great evening.

Saundra

  6. So sorry others are suffering because of the weather.
My son has gone through the same hay field experience recently.
He had to finally borrow a mower, it now needs it again,
He may yet need someone with a bush hog in his yard.

I love all the old rugs, the designs and colors are very appealing.

  7. Hope you are able to get that lawn mowed soon or you will be tending to goats!
We just had a thunderstorm come through. I got the lawn mowed and some gardening done earlier and the rain is much needed!
    Happy Sunday to you.
    Hugs :)
