Are you wondering how my new rug hooking tactic is going? Ya know, the one where I bring down one bag of woolie worms at a time, return it and grab another? Don't think it's going to work like I'd hoped.
So the pile is growing. And I'll need other colors for other motifs...like yellow, white, brown, you know where I'm going with this, right? Appears it will still be a rat's nest by the end of this project, seems there's no tidy way to hook a rug, or at least for me.
Remember I and a few other bloggers mentioned the skyrocket increase of visitors? I've taken screenshots of the top referrers and number of hits from each. This is one from today which seems to show corporate interest.
Are they researching bloggers to see if we are using AI in some way? Or are they looking to see what they can use from us to assist them in their use of AI?
I've noticed while perusing Facebook it is obvious you can't believe what you see or read. Heck one can't even watch or listen to the news and believe what you just heard. And if it is true, sometimes I just want to shut off all news and watch movies or something entertaining, not world politics and other negative events.
Today I also sewed on more rug labels and finally hung The Ark on the wall in my living room.

ReplyDeleteI have had to remind my husband that not all he sees online is true. I try to watch enough news to keep up to date and then I switch it.
I am also seeing a huge increase in visits.

I am beginning not to trust AI. It has to be programmed by someone. Well getting out one color at a time really did not work for you. I was wondering how long it would. I have had crazy numbers on my blog too. Something is up. Janice
ReplyDeleteYou mean I'm really not getting 5000 hits?? Lol. I make such a a mess when hooking, I clean up every couple days. Even the grandkids comment on the "mess". That ship rug is gorgeous. What color did you use for the background,?
ReplyDeleteLOL on the methodology flop. When I hook (no snickering MD), I hook very differently than you (and probably most hookers). I essentially have my rug completely color planned before I begin. I cut the wool then put them in ziploc bags with what they're for written on the bag. (E.g., if I'm using 3 or 4 colors in the background, each has their own bag and it would be labeled "Background 1," "Background 2," etc. Then all those bags go into a big (or huge, depending on the project) basket. It's still messy, but it's a somewhat contained mess?? Don't know what to say about the numbers except that they're crazy. Pretty sure it's nothing good. ;-). I couldn't love The Ark more. I think I'm putting off completely finishing Welcome Cats (I'm really close) because I know it won't get hung on the wall anytime soon. I usually end up really messing up my wall if I attempt to hang anything.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to put worms of certain colors in bags ....I now have 3 shades of red bags , then I save 3-5" pieces in bags & have a tub full of darks & it doesn't help at all !!! I'm pulling things out & searching for too long for that perfect color ...UGH ....Just too many bags to go thru , my idea back fired !!!
