Cape May 2021 Rug Show #4

In the photo below is an antique adaptation pattern by Lucille Festa which she named Rupert Rose and my hooked antique adaptation of White Horse and Scrolls below that.
I also hooked the flower antique adaptation as seen in the Kopp book Rugs Underfoot and I named my adaptation Radiant Flower.  When I've hooked the same design as someone else I like to share my version too so you can see color variations.
The standing Rabbit and Turney rug were hooked by Marsha Moyer-Payne.
Below is a grouping of Norma designs and if you tap on the photo it will enlarge to show who hooked it.
Just look at these portraits hooked by Capri Boyle Jones....AWESOME!!!!!
As promised, here is the rug designed and hooked by Katie Kriner of The Bee and The Bear.
Also, FYI, Katie has a booklet coming out which I believe must include some of the designs which appear on the table.
Southport Basket below is a pattern offered and hooked by Lucille Festa of American Country Rugs.
Christine Waldrop hooked Starry Night.
Bev Conway designed the Tulips and Pineapple rug below but sadly my photo cut off the name of the hooker.
The handsome turkey below was hooked by Marsha Moyer-Payne.
The duck all decked out is named Unbuttoned and was hooked by April Leas.
Sadly I didn't capture the name of designer or hooker for this water scene.  It sure was an undertaking for the hooker with all the detail.  Notice the barely noticeable people on the beach.
Betty Ann Brittingham hooked this naive whale named Willy.
Wonky Americana was hooked by Maureen Berndt; no name listed as the designer.  I like the soft Americana colors.
E
ven after this final post of finished rugs there is still the 'throw-down' of rugs being hooked in class coming up.  So don't worry, it's not over yet 😄.  And you will eventually get to see the one I worked on in class.

Cape May 2021 Rug Show #3

The Cape May rug show must go on......My House Sampler was hooked by Beth Hartman.
For you colorful geometric lovers there are a few for your enjoyment as well.  First is the Multi-Geometric hooked by Marsha Moyer-Payne.
The blue and white Log Cabin with Tongues was hooked by Cyndi Stinson and a design by Norma Batastini.
On the left top is a geometric named Vermont Shell and hooked by Alex Mathiasen.  To the right of that are two of my Magdalena rugs.  The other rugs below will be seen later.
Below are a few other rug designs drawn by Norma and hooked by others.  I like that antique looking flower with scrolls myself.
Cyndi Stinson also hooked Daniel, another design by Norma.
Another geometric design by Norma and hooked by Roberta Olah.
Just one more for you geometric lovers.....Ohio Star  hooked by Marsha Moyer-Payne.
And while I don't really consider this next one a geometric even tho it has blocks of different colors, it is because there is a horse in the center.  Notice that orb to the top left of this rug.  This is the only orb I encountered this trip.  But then I didn't go orb  hunting this time.
I've hooked this same rug in the original colors and with the original 1909 date.  Here is my rendition and the rug I use in the winter in front of my fireplace.
Another design by Norma Batastini called Hen Pecked and hooked by Fern Strong.  Nice looking turkeys!
Beth Hartman hooked Over the moon.
Patriotic Bear was hooked by April Leas.
The pumpkin design below was hooked by Linda Woodbury and a design by Norma.
Deb Nees hooked the Pear Tree design below.
Sally Raub hooked Pebbles below.  Some might call it Cats Paw.
Porter's Pig is a design by Norma and Hooked by Kathleen Bauer.  I love how she hooked the body of the pig with the soft grey and pink swirls
Good heavens, I thought I was close to posting all the photos but see there are still enough left for yet another blog post.  I'm sure you all don't mind seeing another show and it is a relief for me to stop for the evening.

Cape May 2021 Rug Show cont'd.

There were many wonderful rugs in the show and I'll start with Deb's Gossip rug ~ a design by Bill Laraway and sold by Woolley Fox.  Deb started hooking this pattern a few years ago, put it away and recently finished it.  This is the original design.
Deb accidently purchased the pattern twice and I was the lucky recipient with her extra pattern, which I hooked 2017.  But I took a little license and tweaked it to draw birds I see in my yard.
Both Great Horned Owl rugs below were designed and hooked by Bev Conway.  This first one was very impressive and my favorite of the two.

A grouping of three hooked pieces; my favorite is, of course that gorgeous lion hooked by Christine Waldrop.
The Snowmen pattern named "Here's Looking at You" was hooked by April Leas.
Magbis Vizcaino-Green hooked the pattern below which I believe is an antique adaptation.
There are slight similarities to the antique below.
As well as this one.
The Horse and Rabbits rug is by Lucille Festa and an antique adaptation.

Below is the Christmas themed section.  Oh no....less than 3  months away until that season.
The 4-point stars rug was hooked by Alex Mathiasen.
Wonky Americana by Maureen Berndt.
On the floor is a corner of Magdalena's Great-granddaughter's Rug, on the table is Kay's Sheep hooked by Dee Rosebrock.
Another Lucille Festa rug called Kent Road Basket, another stunner.
An antique adaptation drawn by Norma Batastini which she named Lollipop Tree; it was hooked by Fern Strong.
I also drew Magdalena's Lollipop Bouquet and hooked it in Magdalena's style back in 2013.
A grouping of rugs placed on a wicker lounge.
Sharon Townsend hooked the Mississippi Memories and bet it is an original design.
A mola design by Norma and hooked by Felicia Mennin
And as you might expect there ARE more rugs to show so I'm not done yet.  Think I'll sit and pull a few loops on the one I started at camp.
