To say I've had a couple BAD days is an understatement. Poor Lauren (Rugs and Pugs) can attest to that as I've vented to her a couple times since trying to setup the new computer. I was unsuccessful in setting up Outlook as I couldn't receive incoming email but could send. So had to read new mail on the iPad or the old PC.
Yesterday decided to do a blog post but couldn't ~ was only able to read and 'sign out'. So gave up and shut myself off from the rest of the world. Told Lauren was going to hook as I knew that worked.
However, it's a new day. I've been successful in a couple areas: I researched to find the product number of my printer, so it is connected to the new computer; heaven forbid I'm not able to print out a new pattern for myself!
Finally figured out how to fix my Blog so this post is coming fresh from the new computer. AND, fixed my email so I can read messages on the new computer now. Problem is there are absolutely NO contacts in the email account as there once was. Luckily, anticipating such an event I printed out 4 pages of people and email addresses so have that nearby.
Am sure there are tech issues I've not yet thought of which need updating but won't know which ones until they are needed. Then I'll be scrambling and cursing until I figure it out.
I had an eye appointment this afternoon, so everything is still blurry. But will use my braille for hooking until the fuzzy sight dissipates.
What's a blog post without a photo? Here is a very colorful rug of farm animals from the Maine Digest which Evelyn sent me. The newspaper clipping didn't show this intense color. But recently saw it listed for sale and took a screenshot. Am not fond of the colors and would like to see it in more drab color scheme. But since it is from the 20th century and didn't say early or late 20th gives me doubt it is legit to copy. It measures 26 x 43.
Perhaps I'll sleep better tonight as a couple things went right today. Will be back at it again tomorrow.
Happy hooking.

I admire you for tackling the new computer, knowing when to back away and do some therapeutic hooking and then conquering a few more things on the infernal machine. (Please do not feel the need to email a reply to my comment.)
ReplyDeleteI, too, admire that you are figuring out your new computer!!! I think I would have been crying uncle (and saying lots of bad words)!
