THIS and THAT

The last couple days I've been scouring books on my shelves, the internet, and saved rug photos for my next rug hooking fix.  My heart hasn't skipped a beat at any of them.  Eventually I'll just have to choose something even if it doesn't take my breath away.  However, in my search I found a couple new old rugs to share.

This stag rug, circa 1890 measures 35 x 52.5.  The image gives me the impression of a deer galloping across a front yard with the door of a home at its rear.  Actually she probably just used what she had in block formation, but that's what it reminded me of.
The red horse was found on Live auctioneers but no information on date or dimensions was found.
A humongous pictural hooked early 20th century (41.5 x 106.5).
Below inscribed with the word MAMMA and dimensions of 17.5 x 37, circa 1910.  I can see an image of a horse, heart and flower but not sure about the other motifs.
Is this is a lamb or dog?  Was hooked circa 1940.  Not crazy about that background but perhaps she used up bits and pieces of whatever she had.
A horse said to be hooked between 1900-1949 (22 x 38).
A tad more patriotic decor done.  I hung my homemade patriotic wreath on the front door and added a bird with flag print made a few years ago which was
found during a recent purge attempt.
And last, look at the price of this old cookie cutter!  WOW!  Antique anything is at a premium these days.  Am glad I no longer go antiquing.
Just days away from July 4th.  Guess I'd better get back working on my Peace Flag and put the next fix on a backburner.  Happy hooking.

  1. I think that cookie cutter is hand made.
You are getting all decked out for the holiday. Nothing strikes me in this group right now.
