WHEN THAT FAT LADY SINGS

Everyone knows someone who has to do 'one-upmanship'.  Those people have a need to run faster, talk louder and even sing louder as if in a competition.  That recently happened to me again with a rug hooker.  Oh, bet that grabbed your attention, didn't it.

A hooker friend and I had a 'back and forth' a few days ago and I was sure it was over because at the end of our communication I said ...."The fat lady already sang". 

 

But seems Lauren (Rugs and Pugs) had to sing LOUDER and LAST because in my mail was a package.  Inside was this beautiful paisley pouch.  Lauren makes them and calls them 'hook pouches' but it is beautiful and plan to use it for jewelry I'm taking to camp.  You can tell a good seamstress when the design, plaid, etc. is balanced.  

It is beautifully lined with wool and the snaps are precisely attached.  But I don't want to stroke her ego too much for singing the 'last word song' so will move along.....  

Included in the pouch was this wonderful "hooker" stamped pendant and chain (also going to camp with me).

And finally a loop lifter, or can be used as a pickle/olive fork.   So this  last photo serves as MY final word on the subject to YOU Lauren 😁.

Sometimes she makes it difficult for me to be her friend, oh but we sure do have a great time bickering back and forth.  Makes a hot, humid humdrum day a lot more fun.  Thank you Lauren, I'll let you have this win, this time.
