FIX #2

Or, make that fix #3 as 'the nose job' on Golden Ben in the Garden was the first one.  Below is a design by Lori Brechlin and pattern sold by Spruce Ridge Studios.  Here is the before, hooked 2016 in a class with Kris Miller.

The eye kept bothering me because she looks like a cyclops, lol.  Only prey animals have eyes on the side of their head, a human looking forward would have the pupil looking forward.  

This is the after and while fixing it thought the eye outline above was too bold.  The 'after' does have an outline but half that of the before.  Perhaps I need to hook it with a little wider strip after all.

These fix detours are deterring me from finishing the Double Horses, thus delaying my next hooking fix.  But perhaps I might begin to like this rug a tad more now and it will be on my harvest table until Halloween.
