ANIMALS 3, 4 & 5

Am gonna pick up a little steam now so perhaps the next update will show you all the area hooked and tell you what I've named the pattern.  Must admit I'm not happy with the colors chosen for this cat even tho I tried to get close to that in the antique.

The original showed white in the space between the legs and above the tail.  But since I gave the cat a white chest thought that might not work.  So will pull that wool out and use the background color surrounding the cat to see if that works.  If it doesn't work,  the red outline would overpower that area.  Sure don't want to pull all the wool out of the kitty cat but will be forced to make some sort of change.
Here are two more for you cat lovers.  OOPS, I see some loops have been pulled out around the the dark cat so will have to remedy that when put back on the frame.  And remember, I'm not trying to make this look like a newly produced rug, so am using some of my overdyed dirtied up stuff.
Am so SICK of snow which has been hanging around for over a week.  It is frozen humps in areas of the yard which doesn't see sun.  My back deck is piled high with the frozen stuff that can't be shoveled as it's like a humongous block of ice.  Hopefully the warm up, slight warm up, in the next couple days will rid me of this mess.

Haven't gone out to see how much propane is left in the tank from the delivery with two weeks of constant propane use.  However, it sure is a warmer heat.

  1. It’s very interesting to me to read your thought process on your hooking projects. I admire the patience and dedication you all have to get projects looking just right.

  2. Here kitty, kitty, kitty. Looking forward to seeing the big picture...er rug.
We got a few more inches of powdery snow yesterday. I, too, am tired of it. Only 61 days until spring ;-) Now they are saying rain tomorrow. What a mess it will be. Argh.

  3. From where I'm sitting that kitty looks good. I can tell there is a difference between the tail and up between the legs then a change and then the light chest. It's cute.

  4. Your Kitty's look cute , the grey one looks really old & faded.
Hope your snow finally melts ....it has been so cold here all week , today was finally in the 30's , we could see some rain in the morning. We haven't had much snow at all ....I probably just jinxed ourselves

  5. Sweet, sweet, kittehs!!! Those last two, especially, look SOOO old! Yay you! I'll trade you some snow for -35º??? You know how much I dislike snow, so you definitely know my feelings on the cold. I am still gimping along on a temporary part for my furnace and it takes all day to get the temp even close to where I normally have it and with those temps, it won't get remotely close when it's that cold. Brrrr.... ~Robin~

  6. Well I like all three kitties, but I know we can all be our worst enemies. I know you will be the best judge on how you like this rug. Cannot wait to see more though. We are going into a polar vortex next week with temps in high single digits. We filled our car gas tanks, stocked up on wood and the refrigerator, so we are ready for it. We are suppose to get 1-3 inches of snow again tomorrow. UGH Janice
