JULY 4th

Happy Independence Day.  The rug below is a Polly Minick design I hooked several years ago.  The image of this is heartwarming to imagine the youth of today might feel patriotic and remain so during their lifetime.
Fun fact... remember the paper hats boys used to make using newspaper as a kid?  The hat in the rug was hooked using alphabet cotton woven fabric to give it that appearance.

The rug below was designed and hooked by Polly Minick.
GOD BLESS AMERICA and may it always remain a free Republic.

  4. I love, love, love both of these rugs...but yours more. Please send me a close up photo of the hat!!! How creative. But...ahem...not only "boys" made those hats...some of us non-boys have made them...and not just "as kids"....say maybe as recently as within the past year?? Just saying.... ~Robin~
