Cape May Rug Show

There were many rugs in the show and don't think I captured a photo of all of them.  The show is open free of charge to the public and people in the area look forward to seeing the show.  So walking space is precious and move to make way for others to see as well.  While I have intentions of going back to take a photo missed, I forget or get distracted.  Here are 14  rugs for you to look at and enjoy.

The Goat and Pumpkin below was hooked by Cindy Harpring.
The Country French Pig was also hooked by Cindy Harpring.
If you tap on the photo it will enlarge and you may also be able to see who the designer is in the event you want to hook one yourself.  Below is a rug hooked by Karen Buchheit.
Fluffy the sheep was hooked by my tablemate Weslee Hursh.
The rug below was hooked by Carol McKey.
Pumpkin and fall leaves hooked by Kathy Mullaly.
Lucille Festa hooked the Chicken and Stars below.
Since you've seen this rug below previously you probably remember it is a design by Bev Conway named On the Loose and was hooked by me.  I started it last year at Cape May with Cammie Bruce.  Who, by the way was supposed to teach at Cape May last week but due to the hurricane which hit North Carolina was unable to attend.  No water got into her home but they were hit hard nonetheless, which made her travel a no-go.
Rising Sun is a mat hooked by Bob Strunk.
I believe the halloween rug was hooked by Kathy Mullaly.
"Trust Me" is a design by Norma Batastini and hooked by Cynthia Stinson.
The Welcome mat was also hooked by Cynthia Stinson.
In a previous antique rug show I posted an antique rug design like the one below.  Weslee Hursh adapted it and did an awesome job of hooking.
Below is Lucille Festa's adaptation of the antique Double Horses.  I took a photo of the left side........
....and the right side.  There are plenty more rug photos to share from the show, plus the 'throw down' and winners of the Sheep at the Beach event.
Okay Margaret, true to my promise I weighed 127.5 Saturday morning after arriving home from camp.  Today (Monday morning) my weight is 126 and plan to work at getting that other pound off soon.  But it sure was great indulging in all that great food for a few days.
