New Project

Am happily pulling loops again.  It's a good thing I've a hobby (habit) which is creative and entertaining during this self-quarantine period.  Cannot image those who have no interests whether it be handiwork, reading, gardening or other form of creativity while being stuck at home.

This is on my frame...Early Bird, a design by Lori Brechlin and sold by Spruce Ridge Studio.  Just couldn't find the proper Robin breast color in my stash.  But found this orange which had little black threads running thru it and hoped it would work.
But later wondered if this more bland orange would be better. It does have more of a softness to it whereas the first photo has a hard bright color.  Yes, they're very similar in color so I'll work elsewhere and think on it before ripping out or continuing.
You know me always second-guessing my choices.  Now it is the beak which is too close in value to the background.  Perhaps a thin cornrowing of a soft color between them will do the job.

More on the entertainment news.....I subscribe to Comcast cable and Starz used to be part of my lineup until this year.  I was NOT willing to spend even more money per year to have that channel so refused.  Which meant I was no longer able to record Outlander.  BUT, this week during the "Watchathon" I'm able to watch Season 5 for free.  So I'll be binge watching a couple episodes every day to get caught up.

  5. Hi Saundra,
I love that pattern and have done the punchneedle version!! Your rug is coming along and I personally LOVE the first color, but know it may not look like that to you, so I'm sure you will use the one that suits you best!! I agree that I just don't know what others do who don't have a hobby/passion to keep them busy!! I find that I like TOO MANY THINGS and always wish I had more time to do all that I want to!!
Hope you have fun watching your show as you hook!!!Lately, I have been watching Flea Market Flip and that has kept me very entertained, except when they decide to take a wonderful antique that I would love and try to "upcycle" it!!! lol
Thank you too, for your lovely comments about my rug!! It meant so much!!!
Take care and have a wonderful week!
