Comments and Replies

#
Wow, I'm humbled by the kind and warm comments given me for Saturday's blog post as well as previous comments.  All that appreciation has given me the impetus to continue blogging.  Guess I was just in a slump as I couldn't come up with a new and interesting topic or learning experience.

After reading all the comments I'd come to realize just why I started blogging in the first place.  It is more personal and feel as tho a 'gathering of like minds' is taking place and try to make everyone feel welcome.  In all honesty, I feel as tho the people met thru blogs are my friends and feel close to them, often communicating and sharing jokes and personal information.

Comments are welcomed and always appreciated.  I do try to reply to every one's comments as I feel since YOU took the time to comment YOU deserve a reply.  However, some people are a "No-Reply" blogger so my email would not get to you.  You may not even know you are one.

Most recently I wanted to reply to Honey, Carolyn, and Elaine but each of you are "no reply' bloggers.  I know that for sure and there is a way to remedy that.  Some of you many not even know you are a NO REPLY blogger.  Here is how you can find out if you are and HOW TO FIX it.  It really is easy. Just tap on the link above and it walks you thru the steps.

The center of Olde Hearts has been completely hooked and now will start the border.  Also need to start the pre-binding of the Magdalena Goat.  So will have a little something to share tomorrow.

Happy May Day and again, thanks for the wonderful comments.

  1. Glad to hear you will continue blogging. I had started a comment on your last post...but, life called me away and I never finished it. Blogging is a much more personal way to stay in touch. I feel like the bloggers that follow me, and leave comments consistently, are a group of friends. I like the idea of a small, but steady group. Love the heart rug! Have a great week!

  2. I am behind as usual so didn't comment on your last post. I know exactly how you feel. (I actually had a blog post last year about the same issue.) Blogging takes time and it's sometimes hard to find something to write about. I find it so much more personal than FB and feel I have made some true friends through my blog. Like you, I'm not on FB that much so I know I miss most of what is posted.
Keep up the good work and I am so happy you are continuing to blog!!!
Oh, and I'm sure your rug is stunning!

  3. Hi Saundra,
I am really happy you feel encouraged to continue blogging! I used to put so much pressure on myself to post regularly and have really interesting posts but realized I can't hold myself to that and just post when I have something I really want to share! I feel like those who visit and comment really are interested and have become special friends I would never have met otherwise! Blogging truly is a labor of love but I am so blessed by being a part of the blogging world and am happy you are as well! Those who care will continue to come back no matter how long in between posts!! If you post, they WILL come!!!
Thanks for sharing about the No-Reply, too! It really helps to be able to contact them personally!!!
Enjoy some hooking time and looking forward to seeing what you will share when you are ready!
    Heart Hugs~

  4. Sometimes, all we need is a bit of encouragement to continue blogging. I know for myself, I've had a rather unusual winter and i'm feeling rather burn out. I usually reciprocate comments on blogs who leave comments on my blog first and if I have time I'll comment on those who don't leave comments.
Lately, I've been heavily burdened so I blog less and perhaps comment less also.
I'm not a fan of Facebook as it's too in my face and time consuming. Facebook has it merits though but I was OK before Facebook so I'm still OK without it.
    Have a good week.
    Hugs, Julia

  7. Saundra, I made a valiant effort to "fix" my "no reply" status and haven't a clue as to what I accomplished! HA! As nothing that I clicked on looked remotely close to what was pictured on the "how to fix" link. Sigh... I think I may have succeeded in allowing anyone that wants to to view pics that I didn't know even existed!YIKES!!!
