I love replicating antique adaptation rugs but also design my own. Looking at old rugs in Early American Life magazine was my inspiration to learn to hook.

DAY 3 Of CHRISTMAS THEMED RUGS I'VE HOOKED
The Santa and Deer antique adaptation was hooked 2013; it measures 23 x 25.
Below is a picture of the antique rug and I don't know the designer, date or size of the original.
I've seen numerous hookers' adaptation of this design and here are a couple.

Your Santa rug is lovely but for some reason, I like the original better. Maybe because it looks like a child drawing. I'm sure the colors have faded a lot but it does appeals to me. I love children's art. lol.
It's been raining and snowing steadily since yesterday but still no accumulation and I'm not complaining.

Love this Santa design ! Fun to see other's versions ....I would have hook a Red nose on the Reindeer or my Grand Kids would have a Fit !!! LOL
